Have you ever looked across the horizon and noticed how the curvature of the earth is so incredibly miniscule, it's un-noticeable in spite of the planet being round? It shows the incomprehen-sible magnitude of our world- but even still, ours is a trifle in comparison to the other planets in our system. Even our sun, which is 109 times the size of the earth, is one of the smallest known stars in the universe. The stars we see, lightyears away, may look like bits of glitter, dotted across a black sheet, but their size and distance in the vast infinity of space is something utterly unfathomable to our minds. My name is Kae Pe. I am an electronic producer, vocalist, percussionist, bassist, and luthier. Nothing inspires me as much as the things I don't understand. The fire under my ass to pursue my art and hone my craft is knowing how tiny I am in the grand scheme of it all. No matter what I do the earth will turn, stars will explode, and the universe will continue to expand. My life, in and of itself is without meaning, but my passions give me direction, and my love for my community gives me purpose. I draw influence from new-school hardcore punk, emo/skramz, ‘90s southern hip hop, Arabic jazz, and of course industrial and glitchy electronica. I’ve built and fixed instruments since the age of 15, in a desperate reach to understand the nature of electricity and sound.
